The Family - It's been a long time since I've updated this web page. Why you might ask? Because FACEBOOK is too easy to use. I originally created this web page as a way to keep out of state family & friends up to date on the happenings and life of the California Camplese family. Now with web sites like FaceBook and MySpace I can keep all of my friends & family up to date while they can do the same for us. Please create a Facebook account and add Shannon, Lori, and me as your friends so we can all stay in touch better. There are several pictures of the family up there and all 3 of us are updating it daily. In the mean time, I'm going to keep this web page and I will up date it from time to time but it may never be the same again. I did create a new 2009 picture page and place some Easter pictures up there. Enjoy! Click here! By The Way, Lori is not pictured as she's in Tennessee right now helping the homeless with our church.

The Family - This summer was busy and fun! In June we went on a road trip to NM to watch Charles bowl in Nationals. We took the little ones while Lori stayed home with Grandma. Then we went to spend a few days with Shannon’s Dad in Farmington, CO while we were on the road. It was a nice trip and the kids did a really good job of sitting in the car for us. We kept busy this summer going to the book store to read every Monday, spending the day in the backyard in our little pool on Tuesdays, lagoon with our church group on Wednesdays, Gymnastics on Thursdays and art classes on Fridays. In between we went to Wild Rivers; our local water park and various restaurants for kitchen tours with our children’s ministry from church. August was birthday month when we celebrated Lori (16) and Anthony’s (3) birthdays AND Shannon’s brother Crawford’s birthday as both of her brothers were here for a visit too! We are now looking forward to a nice relaxing fall with school for Lori and Ashley while having fun with Anthony and keeping him busy during the day so he'll sleep at night! We have insomniac kids! For fun I've included an update on our kitties too! Enjoy Below! Also please note the new Camplese Family Memorial web page link in the top left directory. I've also created a new Photo web page for 2008. Enjoy all the new pictures! Sparkles – Sparkles is a new member to our family and we estimate she was born in early April. Her mother decided to abandon her in our yard so when we heard this shrieking sound of a cat being attacked we went out to find a cute little kitten abandoned and crying for its mother. We had to take her in as we’ve had this empty love for a kitty ever since we lost Pumpkin last year. Enjoy the photos of sparkles as she has grown to young cat size already! She's alot of fun and full of love. Ashley has claimed to be Sparkle's mommy.
Pepper - is just mad that we have a new cat and that it won't leave her alone. It's a blast watching the kitten attack Pepper's tail!
Pumpkin Update - It's been a year now since we lost Pumpkin and she is still missed in our hearts. Ashley still prays to Jesus every now and again that she wants Pumkin to sleep on his lap.
Anthony - turned “3” this summer! Our little “Baby Boy” is getting to be a big boy! He’s always happy and with a smile on his face – even though he can ruffle his mommy’s feathers any time he wants! He’s talking up a storm, always say “NO!” or “Anthony’s Turn!” or “That’s Anthony’s!”, etc., etc. The sibling fights have just gotten started! He’s doing his art classes once a week and tagging along to all the classes we do each and every day. I think his favorite thing would be riding the roller coasters at Disneyland – now that he’s big enough to ride everything, he is just like his daddy and big sisters and always wanting to go on the fast rides. “Matterhorn Daddy!”
Ashley - turned five years old on October 8th. Five years old!!! – the time goes by so fast! Ashley is getting to be such a big girl. After much deliberation we decided to start her in kindergarten and home school her, believe-it-or-not. She is absolutely loving “school” and doing her work each day. She spends her week going to the library, doing school work, Gymnastics classes (PE) and art classes (Art) with Anthony – oh and then of course, Disneyland (Field Trip) to ride roller coasters. We just started a soccer class which she is enjoying and we had her “Princess Tea” Birthday Party which she invited EVERYONE to come!
Lori - is now a Junior in High School this year – One more year and Lori will be graduating. She had a great time this summer in Louisiana helping to rebuild three homes damaged from Hurricane Katrina. Lori’s been busy with her youth group, doing tons of homework as her home work load is heavy this year, and spending time with her friends. She had her 16th birthday in August but hasn’t started driving lessons yet, Oh man, they’re soon around the corner – God help us all!. She says she wants to go and visit her friend Susan in Oklahoma so we’re trying to see what we can do to get her out there for a visit.
Shannon - Multi-tasker, home maker, ebay Entrepreneur, Cook & Maid has now taken on the title of teacher! That's right! She's now Ashley’s home school teacher as well. She’s still selling on ebay for anyone that asks and for us, reading her books all the time, hosting womens bible study in our home on Monday nights, and being a good mommy to the kids.
Charles - has been doing alot of everything I have time for. Work takes most of my time but every chance I get I've been running. (About 15 to 20 miles a week) I also lost about 10 pounds thanks to all the running. I've been running local 5k races trying to beat all the little kids that run in these things. It's frustrating seeing a 12 year old girl bounce thru a 5K race like she's chasing an ice cream truck for a drumstick or a screw ball. HAHA! I remember calling those trucks the "Dairy Ripper" because they took all the kids money for a cheap little snack. I'm still bowling on Sundays, averaging about 195 to 200 but I have to brag about my bowling at the national bowling competitions in Albuquerque, NM this year. I fired a nice 255 game to start the singles tournament and finished with a 660 series. (220 Average) I placed around 1200th place and won $226. Next year I'll be bowling nationals in my favorite city Las Vegas, Nevada! At night I've been working on home computers for people, building Thomas train tracks for the kids to play with the next day, and watching movies from Netflix. I want to update this web page about ever 45 to 60 days but time flies and it haunts me to update it. I hope you enjoy this update and the new photo page for 2008. Below you can see a few pictures of me breaking the sound barrier as I fly into the finish line! By the way, i did beat that runner you barely see on the right of the photos. In case you missed it above I've also created a new Photo web page for 2008. Enjoy all the new pictures!
